Smalti colour mixes for mosaic projects

Smalti colour mixes are ready-made shade blends of smalti pieces for art mosaics and mosaic projects. Each mix contains several matching smalti tones, helping you create movement, depth and natural colour variation in your mosaic work.

The colour mixes are especially useful for backgrounds, gradients, decorative objects, details, glass lanterns and colour areas where several tones are needed for a harmonious result. The glass-like surface of smalti reflects light beautifully and makes the colours look rich and vivid.

The pieces are hand-cut, so their size, shape and surface vary naturally. The pieces are approximately 20 x 10 mm in size and about 5–6 mm thick. Smalti pieces are often placed closely side by side and in some techniques may be used without traditional grouting.
